McCULLOUGH, Charles

Charles McCullough, of Crawfordsville, who is well known here,  died on Thursday evening following an illness of several weeks.  Mr. McCullough at one time owned the farm where Lando Cosby  lives. He was our township assessor and while living here he was  elected sheriff of the County. After moving to Crawfordsville, he  was trustee of Union township. He was born near Waveland in 1858  and was the son of Richard and Julia McCullough. His first wife  was Sarah Ellen Jarvis, a sister of Mrs. A.L. Courtney. They had  4 children: Clifford, Roy and Velma. One daughter, Mrs. Opal Corn  is dead. In 1928 he married Daisy M. Henthorn, who survives. Mr.  McCullough was an active member of the Christian Church, both  here and in Crawfordsville. - typed by kbz
